If you are receiving the following error message, then it appears there is an issue with connecting to SIMS:
SIMS login failed (A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server))
First, please try logging into SIMS on the machine you have installed SIMS-Sync onto. The likelihood is that you will not be able to log into SIMS. If this is the case, you will need to contact Capita SIMS Support with details of the error.
